HMB´S REVIEW
I put on my headphones and braced myself for the sonic experience that is Zenith, the new album by Bleed From Within. These Scots have been grinding in the metal scene for nearly two decades, constantly refining their sound and overcoming every challenge thrown their way. Although at times they have been seen as predictable or lacking boldness, they have remained steadfast, sharpening their musical identity with each release. And now, with their seventh album, they seem to have reached a whole new level.

From the very first track, the feeling is undeniable: Bleed From Within is more confident than ever. The eleven songs on Zenith deliver a powerful combination of crushing heaviness and addictive melodies. The balance between brutality and accessibility has never been so well crafted, making for an album that captivates from start to finish.

One detail that caught me off guard—in the best way—was the presence of bagpipes in 'In Place Of Your Halo'. Yes, you read that right! This unexpected element adds an atmospheric touch that blends seamlessly with the band’s relentless metal assault. Speaking of intensity, Scott Kennedy’s vocal performance is nothing short of monstrous. His growls are razor-sharp, adding even more weight to the already aggressive compositions.

Another highlight of the album is the collaborations. Brann Dailor from Mastodon lends his genius to 'Immortal Desire', while Josh Middleton makes an appearance on 'Hands Of Sin'. These guest spots not only showcase Bleed From Within’s relevance in the scene but also add extra layers of brilliance to the album.

At the end of the day, Zenith lives up to its name—it’s a true pinnacle in the band’s career. The instrumental precision is impressive, the energy overflows in every track, and the album exudes unshakable confidence. They’re not reinventing the wheel, but they’re taking their sound to the next level. This is the kind of work that makes it crystal clear: Bleed From Within knows exactly where they want to go—and they’re getting there in style.
