Fans of Dark Angel will be pleased to know that the band has officially returned with more than just a one-off track—the Californian thrash metal pioneers are charging back with a full-length studio album, “Extinction-Level Event”, their first in nearly 35 years. The album was produced by Rob Shallcross, with the final mix handled by the esteemed Mike Fraser. The title track, which recently received its live debut, serves as the album’s first single and carries special weight. It includes musical ideas from the band’s late guitarist Jim Durkin, who tragically passed away in early 2023 following a battle with liver disease.
