Scottish punk rock icons The Exploited has announced that their upcoming shows have been cancelled, following frontman Wattie Buchan's on stage collapse. The incident took place during a show in Wiesbaden, Germany on January 31st. Buchan was taken to hospital after falling to the ground during the first song and the band confirmed the next day that shows in Tallinn and Riga had to be cancelled, while the scheduled performances in Rostock and Berlin will be clarified as soon as possible. The group explained that Buchan had been dealing with a bout of flu and suffering from dehydration as a result, which caused him to collapse. The sole remaining original member of the band, Wattie Buchan has suffered a number of health issues in recent years, including several heart attacks. We wish Wattie a quick and full recovery.
