Drummer Eloy Casagrande, formerly of Sepultura and now with Slipknot, has been named the best metal drummer by Modern Drummer magazine. This achievement solidifies his status as one of the greatest drummers in the genre. 
On Instagram, Eloy shared his gratitude: "I’m glad that I was nominated as the best metal drummer of 2024 by Modern Drummer magazine. Thank everyone who voted for me. I’d like you to know that I’m not the best one. There is no good or bad in music or in arts, but I’m lucky enough to have people that support me and who like what I do.
