Gary "Angry" Anderson, known to many as the frontman of Australian hard rock legends Rose Tattoo, has passed away at the age of seventy nine. The Melbourne born singer, also known for his solo hit "Suddenly" and for acting in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, suffered a heart attack last month while on tour in Germany, and died on September 21st in Sydney. Anderson was the longest serving member of Rose Tattoo, fronting them from 1976 until 1987, by which time he had already acted in a few movies, and released his first solo album, "Beats From A Single Drum." His second solo album, "Blood From Stone" hit the shelves in 1990 and three years later, Rose Tattoo reunited at the request of Guns 'N Roses to support the band on their tour of Australia. A long lasting return would take place in 1998 and Anderson continued to front the group until his passing, during which time they released the albums "Pain," "Blood Brothers" and "Outlaws," while touring Down Under and Europe numerous times.
