Swedish death metal legends Unleashed has announced that Fredrik Lindgren, the band's lead guitarist from 1989 to 1995, has sadly passed away. A statement from the band reads as follows: "Warriors! "Sadly, the news have reached us that Fredrik Lindgren, lead guitar of Unleashed 1989-1995 has passed away.Fredrik was a huge part of the early history of the band. For this we are eternally grateful. "See you in Valhalla brother! "Johnny & The Boys" Lindgren was a founding member of the band, alongside vocalist/bassist Johnny Hedlund and drummer Anders Schultz and featured on the albums "Where No Life Dwells," "Shadows In The Deep," "Across The Open Sea" and "Victory," as well as the live releases "Live In Vienna 93" and "Eastern Blood, Hail to Poland." Following his departure from the band, he would form the punk group Loud Pipes, as well as the stoner metal outfit Terra Firma, releasing two albums with each.
