I think this band could provide enough energy to power all the street lamps in Rome, such is the intensity of their music. It's a heavy blend with elements of punk, sludge, and noise, evoking the intense vibes of the 80s/90s school days.

"Esigenza" is the latest musical creation from Mind/Knot, released on September 1st, 2023, under Time To Kill Records. Despite the short track lengths, this album is far from the kind you play and suddenly realize it's over without noticing multiple tracks have passed. On the contrary, it grabs your attention within the first few seconds. The album kicks off with a somewhat peculiar intro that hooks you in just 16 seconds. The second track follows with powerful, dirty bass and aggressive vocals, setting the tone for the rest of the album.

Compared to their previous album, which leaned more towards punk, this new one takes you into a much more aggressive territory. The intensity has been amplified with touches of death/doom metal, appealing strongly to Hardcore listeners as well.

The influence of the new guitarist, Roberto Cadau, is evident. He brings your influences: mathcore, chaotic hardcore and noise punk , making you feel like you're right there with them during the recording process.

"My Queen," one of the best tracks and also one of the longest (by just 11 seconds), continues to guide you throughout the album, stirring up my Italian heritage. I can't help but mention the initial guitar riff in "Warcrime," summarizing the guitar direction. Pure and unadulterated hardcore, with short and straightforward tracks.

The album's artwork was created by coito negato and mixed and mastered by Valerio Fisik Hombre lobo studios.

After listening twice, I feel energized enough to run a half marathon now.
